"Many of you are aware that in June of 2004 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection saved my life, as I was diagnosed with Stage 0 through my annual mammogram. After a lumpectomy and radiation I am doing fine.
During Breast Cancer Awareness month - October, I would like to introduce to you: The Pink Door. a web site (www.shoppinkdoor.com), dedicated to the funding of mammography screening to the uninsured and underserved. The lack of funds should not hinder the ability for those in need to receive quality breast care at a convenient location to them.
This site exists as a tribute to all women and men with diagnosed breast cancer. They are kindred spirits bound by their own badge of courage, and they untie the ribbon that binds through their experience that early detection is The Cure.
The Pink Door is presenting a NEW pink ribbon logo to replace the familar one, as they are suggesting a positive approach to The Cure (early detection). Their goal is to eliminate the fear of breast cancer by routine screening mammograms.
You can help them achieve their goal by browsing their Shopping Gallery and purchase from their clothing and accessory lines. All profits will be used to allow The Pink Door to provide mammograms for those in need. You can also visit their new store at : 2225 E. Highland Rd., Highland, Michigan.
Please make sure that all of you loved ones has an annual screening - you could save a life!"
